Common Questions

PLOCAL is a nationwide local business evaluation platform. Instead of simply listing businesses, PLOCAL evaluates how professional, credible, and customer-ready a business looks online.

Each business is assessed against six consistent criteria covering professionalism, local presence, website experience, customer reputation, accessibility, and legitimacy.

The ProScore is a structured 100-point system. The six criteria carry fixed point weights (15, 15, 30, 20, 10, and 10), so scores are consistent and repeatable rather than random.

No. Businesses pay for an evaluation only. Payment never guarantees a higher ranking, a better score, verification, a badge, or a recommendation.

Badges highlight specific strengths an evaluated business has shown, such as website quality or reputation. Final badge artwork is produced by our design team, and year-based badges are generated from the evaluation date.

Use PLOCAL to find evaluated local businesses by category and place, review their evaluation, and contact providers you can hire with more confidence.

Business owners can use the Submit Your Business page to request a structured PLOCAL evaluation.

If you see a fake badge, suspicious listing, or message misusing the PLOCAL name, report it through the Contact page so it can be reviewed.
